The publishing fee for accepted manuscripts is £438. This is set substantially below many comparable journals and helps cover essential costs such as editorial handling, peer review, online publication, hosting, and long-term access. We would prefer to remove this barrier entirely, but a fee is necessary to keep the journal running and to continue advancing the field. Keen an eye on the BILM research & grant pages as there are often awards or prizes waiving the APC or granting prizes for the best submissions.

Authorship

All authors should have made a meaningful contribution to the work and should approve the final submitted version.

Corresponding authors are responsible for communication with the journal and for ensuring that all author details are accurate.

Peer review

Submissions are reviewed by the editorial team and may be sent for peer review. Decisions are based on scientific quality, originality, relevance and clarity.
