Submissions must meet ethical and authorship standards appropriate to academic publishing.

Article processing charge
The publishing fee for accepted manuscripts is £438. This is set substantially below many comparable journals and helps cover essential costs such as editorial handling, peer review, online publication, hosting, and long-term access. We would prefer to remove this barrier entirely, but a fee is necessary to keep the journal running and to continue advancing the field. Keep an eye on the BILM Research & Grants page as there are often awards or prizes waiving the APC or granting prizes for the best submissions.
