CKS-Style Longevity Guidelines
BILM develops Clinical Knowledge Summary (CKS)–style guidelines for longevity, preventive and regenerative medicine, aligned with NICE principles and evidence hierarchies.
Defining Best Practice
Designed for busy UK clinicians, mirroring established CKS and college resources so they are easy to search, apply in clinic and reference for appraisal and revalidation.
Clinician‑friendly format
Combination of rigour and usability aims to make BILM guidelines the default reference for safe, evidence‑based longevity medicine in UK clinical practice.
point‑of‑care, evidence‑based recommendations
Practical prescribing, monitoring and safety in longevity protocols.
Patient selection and risk stratification
Explicit patient selection criteria and risk‑stratification frameworks to support decision‑making in complex, multi-morbid populations.
Longevity Medicine made simple
Helping clinicians match longevity interventions to the right patients, in the right setting, at the right time.
FBILM: Fellowship in Longevity Medicine
BILM Fellowship (Post-nominal FBILM) recognises doctors who demonstrate advanced knowledge, high‑level clinical skills and ethical practice in longevity medicine.
Two routes to FBILM:
Examination route (UK doctors)
A rigorous, UK‑level exam in longevity, preventive and regenerative medicine with a curriculum mapped to longevity medicine competencies, biomarkers, preventive cardiometabolic care, regenerative modalities and clinical governance. Successful candidates gain Fellowship of the British Institute for Longevity Medicine (FBILM) and post‑nominal use, signalling recognised expertise.
Honorary Distinction route (by contribution)
Awarded to doctors and scientists who have made substantial, internationally recognised contributions to longevity medicine, research or education.

As a director overseeing a multidisciplinary longevity clinic, BILM’s accreditation standards and evidence review service have been invaluable. Aligning our protocols with BILM guidance has strengthened our governance, reassured regulators and payors, and clearly differentiated us from less rigorous ‘anti‑ageing’ offerings.
Dr. ghani
Chief Medical OfficerBILM has given structure and clinical rigour to an area that was previously fragmented. The FBILM pathway and point‑of‑care longevity guidelines have transformed the way I practise preventive and regenerative medicine, and given me confidence that their care is grounded in the best available evidence.
